Laura's Meringues

    In an attempt to entice people to my view my blog, I advertised a limited time offer of 1 specially-ordered baked good in return for subscribing to Crooked Cupcakes.

    My friend Laura requested "something lemony" which left me with quite a few options to choose from.  So, of course, I made baby Lemon Meringue pies!!

    Btw, these are incredibly sticky to make... O_o

   You should know, even the greatest chefs make mistakes.  I misjudged my meringue topping and did not have enough to cover each one of them... so I ended up with 1 derpy one. :P

Elliott's Birthday Cake

Happy Birthday, Elliott!! See you in the fall!!! <3

My Pagan friend Elliott just turned 21 and every year we celebrate his birthday with a cookie cake. Of course this year, I offered to decorate his cake myself to show off my newly learned skills :P

He told me to "just go with whatever inspired me," so I had some fun with it (take careful notice of the "poop!" in the top right).  I customized it with the Goddess symbol for him, and prettied it with many, many purple and lilac rosebuds. ^____^
